# New Mailbox

Create a new mailbox underneath an existing mailbox or a new top-level mailbox in Mail.

| Parameters   | Description                                                                     |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Action       | Creates a new mailbox or top level mailbox.                                     |
| Mailbox Name | The name of the mailbox to create.                                              |
| Mailbox      | A mailbox in Mail.                                                              |
| Account      | An email account in Mail. Can also refer to the local On My Mac folder in Mail. |

| Returns | Description                                          |
| ------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Boolean | True if the mailbox was created successfully; error. |
