# Keyboard Shortcuts

MsgFiler 4 has a number of keyboard shortcuts to make you efficient at filing messages from the keyboard. There are also special keys you can press when focused on the MsgFiler 4 search field or the mailboxes table.

## General

These keyboard shortcuts are available when a MsgFiler 4 window is frontmost.

## Additional Notes

1. Requires the [MsgFiler Filing Script](/using-msgfiler/msgfiler-filing-script.md).
2. Focus is returned to MsgFiler 4 after running.
3. User must lift the command key after pressing for Mail to recognize the collapse command.
4. 1 is the first item and 0 is the 10th item.
5. Does nothing if the mailbox is not in the Favorites list.
6. Does nothing if the mailbox is already in the Favorites list.
